Story Lab Publishing
Does your business have a story to tell?
Leadership Story lab can help.
When storms, fire, or disaster strike, ATI Restoration will now be able to help more families and industry rebuild. The nation’s leading family-operated restoration company has experienced tremendous growth through mergers and acquisitions, increasing its reach to more than 60 locations across the U.S.
To mark this milestone, ATI Restoration published a new book, Confluence written by Esther K. Choy. The book shares the stories of the first five restoration businesses to be acquired by ATI — from the seller’s perspective. ATI Restoration asked Esther to write this book because they wanted to a tool to help prospective sellers understand the journey involved in M&A. Because the Moore family had to go through a similar soul searching experience themselves, they stand at the ready to empathize with the challenges potential sellers are facing and this book helps them communicate that to other restoration businesses.
Jeff Moore, President and son of founder Gary Moore, explained: “There's tons of M&A books that could teach you the ins and outs of a transaction or how to prepare and how to exit it. But honestly, I think the hardest part is the emotional rollercoaster. It's the decision to sell.”
Confluence affirms the ATI’s family values of personalized attention, compassion, and empathy through all their work, including mergers and acquisitions.
Apply Business Storytelling Insights
Stories surround us, but the most effective stories can be difficult for us to identify and shape on our own. It often takes an outside listener to tell us when our stories make an impact--and why.
Esther and her team provide an expert vantage point. Work with us one-on-one or with your team to apply the business insights from Let the Story Do the Work to your everyday work.
